You can fund your TALK Funding Account by logging in to your financial institution's online banking system and add your TALK Funding Account as an external account to make transfers. In most cases it requires a one time verification process that takes between 2 to three days and it also requires the account and routing numbers displayed in the Card Management section inside the TALK web portal. It is usually free, however it takes 2 to 3 business days for the funds to be available. Limits may vary depending on your institution's policies.
Here is an example of the setup process using Wells Fargo's online banking system:
- Log in to your bank's online system (Wells fargo in this case) and look for the option to transfer money or make a transfer to an external bank account.
- Look for a link or option to add a new account and enter the following info.
Owner of this account: YES
Account type: Checking/Business Checking
Account Use: Transfers
Account Number: (Account number found in TALK. View picture below)
Routing Number: (Routing number found in TALK. View picture below)
Nickname: A name to identify this account in your bank's online system, i.e. "TALK Funding Account"
Important: These account and routing numbers are different than the ones used for money wires.
- Most institutions will make two small deposits to your TALK Funding Account to verify that you are the owner and ask you to enter the amounts in the online form provided. These deposits may take up to two days to post. To view the amount of the deposits, log in to your TALK account and click on Add Funds inside the Card Management section. Then scroll down to the Recent Transactions section at the bottom of the page. Once you can see the two small deposits in your TALK account, enter the amounts in your bank's online form.
- At this point you should be able to see your TALK Funding Account as one of your accounts and you can use your online banking system to make transfers to this account. Check with your institution for specific limits.
