In most cases, searching for a specific transaction can be easily done by typing a keyword in the Search Bar, however there are instances where you need to filter transactions that meet multiple criteria. In those cases you may want to use the Advanced Search Controls. To access the controls, click on 'Advanced Search' next to the search bar. A popup will slide down revealing all the different filters that can be applied. You can apply as many filters as desired. Once you have made all of your selections, press the Update Search button. To display all of this year's transactions again, press Reset Filters.
Tip: You can perform an advanced search and type a keyword in the search bar simultaneously.
To filter by Customer, Vendor, Account, Type (Money In/Money Out), Category or Image Status, click on any of the input boxes to activate their respective dropdown. Then, you can either scroll through the dropdown or type in the input box to find your selection. Once you find your selection, click on it to select it.
You can filter transactions by an amount range. Simply type an amount in any or both of the amount input boxes. By default the starting amount is $0.00 and the ending amount is 'Any'. To search for a specific amount, enter the amount in both boxes. When entering an amount range, the ending amount must be equal or greater than the starting amount. Entering an amount that is lower than the starting amount will cause the amount filter to be ignored and the input boxes will be outlined in red.
You can filter transactions by date range. By default the date range selected is the first of the year to today's date. You can either type a date in any or both of the date input boxes using format mm/dd/yyyy or you can use the calendar helper. To use the calendar, click on the calendar icon inside the input box. Once the calendar opens you can select a date by clicking on the desired day inside the calendar. To quickly navigate to a different month or a different year even, click on the Month/Year header located at the top of the calendar. This will bring up a list of the months that you can click on to select a different month. While on the month list view you can click on the Year header at the top of the list to bring up a list of years that you can click on to select a different year. As with the amount range, the ending date can not be lower than the starting date.
